What are your opening hours?
We are open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday, 18:00–23:00.
What is your menu/inspiration?
Santa Joana is the flagship restaurant at Locke de Santa Joana, set within the walls of a 17th-century convent in the heart of Lisbon. Led by Chef Nuno Mendes, our menu celebrates the diverse flavours of Portuguese gastronomy, old and new, drawing on the country's culinary traditions as well as its global roots.
Dishes are built around the best Portuguese seafood, meat and produce, sourced through a close network of farmers, growers and artisans across Portugal, and the menu changes with the seasons.

Do you have a bar for a pre/post dinner drink?
Yes. Located on the mezzanine above Santa Joana, Bar Joana is a place to converse and unwind with a glass of wine or a signature cocktail. There's no need to book, simply walk in or, if the weather allows, join us on the Yard, a lovely outdoor space.
Locke de Santa Joana is also home to Kissaten, an intimate cocktail bar, and Sacra, a late-night bar with bespoke and classic cocktails.
Can I come just for drinks?
Yes. We prioritise tables for diners, but there's always space at one of our bars for you.

Do you cater for allergies?
Our top priority is the safety and satisfaction of our guests. Please inform your server of any specific allergies you have, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We have procedures in place to minimise cross-contamination; however, please note that we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. If you have any concerns, feel free to discuss them with our manager or chef.
I would like to book a large group. How can I do that?

Do you allow private events?
Yes, the entire restaurant can be booked out, or smaller areas within it. Please get in touch with our events team:
What is your cancellation/no-show policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or amend your reservation. A credit card may be required to secure certain bookings, and no-shows or late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code, but we recommend smart casual attire.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as contactless payments. Cash payments in Euros are also accepted.
Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Santa Joana offers step-free access to the dining room and accessible restroom facilities. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please let us know in advance so we can best accommodate you.
Are children allowed?
Children are welcome; however, please be aware that the venue is primarily designed with adults in mind.
Do you have a high chair for kids?
Yes, we do.
Do you have a kids' menu?
No but our team can always come up with a solution.
Are you pet-friendly?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the restaurant.
I'd like to continue my night after dinner, where can I go?
Locke de Santa Joana is also home to Kissaten and Sacra, both open late and ideal places to continue your evening.
